biography

I started working as a proofreader for Eucalyptus Typesetting soon after graduating from SDSU with a BA in English. I worked there for seven years.

During my last year at Eucalyptus Typesetting I received a Certificate in Technical Writing from SDSU. It took six months, but I found a job as a Technical Writer at Deltec.

I worked in the same building for the next 18 years, but that was one of the few constants. The company was bought, sold, merged, reorganized at a constant pace. In one week, the company had five different owners.

And my job changed several times, as well. I rose from Associate Technical Writer to Intermediate, Senior. Then I started working my way up in Management, first as a Supervisor of Technical Writing, and in the end, as the Manager of Software Quality Assurance.

All of that came to an end in late 2005. My position was moved to Raleigh, North Carolina. I was offered the opportunity to move with the position, but decided to stay in San Diego.

Since then I have been a Real Estate Salesperson, and a Process Analyst.

Recently, I started yet another career as an Instructional Designer. I think this one will last a while.
